The Dickens Christmas Feast {2015}
Fri, Dec 11 & Sat, Dec 12 at 7:00-10:00pm

A Newport tradition, The Dickens Christmas Feast is an interactive evening of fine food, beautiful costumes, song, dance, storytelling, and plenty of Christmas cheer. Celebrate the memories of the past, revel in the blessings of the present, and anticipate the gifts of the future.
Synopsis
Centered around the theme of A Christmas Carol, guests will participate in retelling this classic tale in a unique way with Newport society members and domestics.
The year is 1891, and patriarch John N.A. Griswold hates Christmas. "Bah humbug" to the singing, the dancing, the laughter, the joy - what makes the Yuletide so gay?
While Mr. Griswold’s family and friends sing carols together, he locks himself away in solitary silence, holiday pouting, and work. As head of the family and reputable member of Newport society, his family wants him to lighten up, embrace the magic of the season, and join them in reveling in their traditions and holiday celebrations.
But Mr. Griswold would rather work than play. Help open his eyes to the awe and wonder of the season and enjoy the festivities to include, but are not limited to:
- Tour of the historic John N.A. Griswold House architecture, galleries, current exhibitions, and holiday decorations
- Choral concert of classical, traditional, and family favorite carols
- Victorian dancing including the Waltz and Polka, and "Germans" (ballroom games)
- Interactive scenes from Charles Dickens' classic tale of redemption, A Christmas Carol

“An effervescent, glowing tapestry in a strange and enchanted phantasmagoria.”
The peace between humans and zombies is tenuous. The technology they use to communicate is awkward. An innocent teen, daughter of a famous scientist, falls for a boy from the wrong side of the grave.
And dancing! Lust, drugs, gore, bigotry, wrong science and killer rock ‘n’ roll fill this campy, multi-media love poem to 1960s psychedelic horror cinema.
"I'm generally not much of a fan of either zombies or musicals, but I loved "Menace of the Morgue" -- don't miss it!" Jim Wolpaw, director, Complex World
Doctor Menace's Family Variety Hour of Zombies
Sunday Matinees October 6-27, 2013 at Theatre 82 in Cranston
You may think that zombies are basically untalented and should never attempt to perform as entertainers. Well, that is true. They’re terrible. But still. It can be funny to watch them try.
The gentler side of Dr. Menace, he brought his zombie pals to the stage for an hour of vaudeville-style entertainment guaranteed to delight, or possibly disgust, or even bewilder, just about anyone, or at least some people.

When two sets of twins, separated at birth, unwittingly crossed paths year later, a series of wild mishaps based on mistaken identities led to: Wrongful beatings, a near seduction, an arrest, and false accusations of infidelity, theft, madness, and demonic possession. Set in the 1940s, this production used music, multi-media, and fast-paced slapstick comedy! Shakespeare's shortest play proved the old adage "Good things come in small packages."
